In June, two of our remarkable FEDAA scholars—Ahmad Shahzad Hamidi (Class of 2027) and Tamim Saidkhili (Class of 2026)—joined dozens of fellow Kardan University students in a Public Roads Cleaning initiative to promote environmental responsibility and civic engagement. This hands-on effort to improve their community wasn't just an extracurricular activity—it was a powerful expression of the values at the heart of the FEDAA scholarship.

By rolling up their sleeves and joining in, Ahmad Shahzad and Tamim demonstrated that leadership begins with service. Their actions reflect the very mission of FEDAA: to cultivate not only educated graduates, but committed citizens who uplift their communities.

As FEDAA scholars, we are here today because someone believed in us and gave us the gift of an education. I feel it is my responsibility to share that gift by giving back to my community. I just want to be an active individual in my society, to be in touch with the people, and to promote a sense of patriotism in myself and others.
— Ahmad Shahzad, reflecting on the experience

This spirit of service and social responsibility is made possible by the generosity of supporters like you. Your contributions are not only funding education—they are shaping lives, building communities, and empowering the next generation of Afghan leaders who are already making an impact.

Thank you for investing in their journey—and in a brighter future for Afghanistan.
